404 errors

Guys, We’re seeing lots of 404 errors over the past couple of weeks. Trying to view a message or send a message will randomly result in a 404 error message (the read pop-down message). We can’t tell whether or not the messages are going out… a 404 error doesn’t make much sense since I doubt the script is moving every couple of minutes so I suspect something else is going on behind the scenes. I know you have/had a big maintenance window scheduled for today – is it to address these stability issues or are you not seeing these? For example, I just sent an email about 15 mins ago, or think I sent it, but I can’t tell if it went out or not because there was the error. The message closes out like when sending normally but it’s certainly ambiguous. Help? Brian |

Hey Brian, Thanks for the post and I’m sorry for the really annoying error messages We are going to be upgrading some hardware and taking care of a lot of these things that have been building up next weekend (another big window). We’ll be posting more about it on the blog on Wednesday. The next time one of those messages popup would you mind posting what the message says? I want to make sure we take care of everything over the next week. Thanks again Brian |

Just got one, when clicking “reply” to a message. It load up the first response and then a moment later I get this: “Your request could not be completed. Please contact support@sproutit.com for assistance. Here is the full message from the server: The first part is at the top and in the error box space, it says the 404 not found part. |

Hate to say it after your upgrades but we’re still getting these. It happens pretty repeatedly after sending a reply to an email (which is bad because we don’t know if it’s actually gone out). |

Hmm I don’t know what is happening then. I’m going to send you an email and we can try to work this out. |

OK that was weird. I have been trying to reproduce the problem for 2 weeks now and I finally saw it when send the email to you. I’m going to try to figure out what is going on with the email sending. |

We might have identified the problem. I have entered the ticket and we are working on a solution now. |
