Firefox not working?
|
|
For myself, or other members of my group. Safari on my Mac works fine, and Opera on a friends machine seemed to work, but Firefox support is pretty critical for us. In any case, attempts to view our Mailroom via FF present us with a “Loading Mailroom…” message that never goes away. Only the preferences dialog seems to work properly. :( |

Hi, Firefox should work just fine with Mailroom. We use FireFox regularly here at Sproutit in fact. Can you tell me what version of FireFox you are using, the operating system (Windows or Mac) and your account domain? If you do not want to post this information publicly, you can also email us at support@sproutit.com -Charles |

Charles, I have this problem as well, but only with Firefox 3 beta. I know, it’s beta, but it works well for just about everything else :) According to firebug, the problem starts here:
It seems to choke on a comment in that file, and then can’t load any of the objects. |

How was this resolved? I just started using Mailroom and am experiencing the same problem. I am using Iceweasle (Firefox) Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.1.3) Gecko/20070310 Iceweasel/2.0.0.3 (Elive Revolution rl2). My operating system is eLive Linux (Debian). |

Misterdubs, Can you tell me specifically what problem you are seeing? Clay was complaining about an issue with FireFox 3 which is a different problem I believe. |

We had the same problem here. It looks like sproutit’s javascript is doing user-agent matching and looks for the ‘firefox’ string. You should be able to configure your iceweasel to announce itself as firefox instead, and that should fix it for you. SproutIt admins: y’all should match on ‘iceweasel’, too :) |

Hey thanks for the help Mike! I can’t test Iceweasel but if it is working for you I’ll put it on the compatibility list. |
