Topic: Sproutit app not loading Our account has been down for at least a week. I emailed asking for support and got a reply that I should send my account URL for further inquiry. So far that is the last I have heard, even with me checking in again. We were relying on Mailroom to handle a large influx of email that is at it’s high point right now. We’ll be looking into other solutions. |

Topic: Mailroom Export? Hi Ask, We have been working on different API’s for Mailroom. Currently the only export option we have is a CSV file of your emails or contacts. It is not a good solution for ongoing DB connections as it is a manual process done by us. If you wouldn’t mind me asking, what are you trying to accomplish with the export? |

Topic: Signatures? Hi Peter— First off, love Sproutit and am looking forward to further updates. I tested the RECIPIENT_FIRST and SENDER_FIRST in a test email and it doesn’t populate. Any reason for this? Thanks! |

Topic: Request: Use my own SMTP server You are right Ask. I can’t think of a good way to accomplish this with a standard email setup. I honestly haven’t considered this type of set up. We will be implementing IMAP but that will not allow you to actually send the replies from your servers. I’ll file is and bring it up at the next tech meeting. Thanks for the idea. |

Topic: SSL Certificate Authority not recognized We have contacted the company several times attempting to get rid of the warnings but wasn’t able to correct the problem. The SSL is working properly but the browsers on certain computers are not properly recognizing the certificates. If you clear the warning once they won’t come back. I’m really sorry and we are still working on this. |

Topic: Can't print from Sproutit You bring up a good issue Ask. Mailroom was build on the original version of SproutCore. which doesn’t play well with the print function in Safari and FireFox. We will be updating to the latest version of SproutCore which will do a better job. In the meantime the best option is usually to cut and paste the emails into a word processor or text editor. |

Topic: Credit Card Security If you are on a personal or basic plan the data is not encrypted. We will be implementing SSL for these types of transactions on all accounts but for a temporary work around can will enable SSL on your account until you are done entering your credit information. Just send me an email. |

Topic: Export It looks like we missed this one :-( Thanks for reviving the thread Ask! The current version of Mailroom doesn’t have an export built in but if needed we can give you a CSV dump of your emails/contacts. Just send us an email and well have it for you in a day or two. The next version will come with some powerful API’s that will allow you to pull your data via XML and JSON. |

Topic: Signatures? Good question Robert. The best alternative to signatures right now is to use the macros built into Mailroom. We are building more standard signatures in the next version. Ask: |

Topic: HTML/Images in emails Your welcome. The next version should be out next year. We had to put it on temporary hold when interest in our open source project (SproutCore) increased. The positive in the delay is there has been some tremendous improvements to the framework we use to build Mailroom. We are excited to see what we are able to build over the next year. |

Topic: HTML/Images in emails We decided to leave out HTML in the current version of Mailroom as the goal was to get through your emails as quickly as possible and formatting emails were not asked for. With that said we are working on adding the option to turn on html editing in the next version. Thanks for posting! |

Topic: SSL Certificate Authority not recognized Hey Frederik, Sorry for the scary warning. The company that issues our SSL cert is having trouble with it’s wildcard certs. We are trying to work with them to get this fixed but it doesn’t seem to be happening. We will have it working or get a new cert soon. For now once you clear the warning it shouldn’t come back. |

Topic: SSL Certificate Authority not recognized Hi, Using a free SSL account for testing, Mailroom uses an SSL CA which doesn’t come with Mac OS X, resulting in a nasty warning dialog each time you access Mailroom. I just wanted to see if this was the case for the paid accounts too or if there’s a chance to switch to a better known CA sometime. Thanks! |

Topic: Credit Card Security Hi Guys, someone asked a question in the General Forum about credit card security, but it hasn’t been answered yet. I’d like to know the answer too before entering my card details to upgrade. The poster was querying whether credit card info is posted over an insecure connection, is this the case? Thanks |

Topic: Request: Use my own SMTP server Hi Jimmy, Thanks for posting on the forum There are currently two ways to reply using a personalized reply address. The first is to use POP to check you other accounts. Mailroom will use the address associated with the POP address as the reply address. The second way is to set the reply address in the preferences. 1. Click preferences *Make sure you have the address you just entered forwarded to Mailroom or the you won’t get the emails back if the person replies again. When you set the reply address in preferences Mailroom automatically uses that address as the default reply address for all incoming mail that is using a sproutitmail address. So you can use this in conjunction with POP Don’t hesitate to ask if you have anymore questions. |

Topic: Request: Use my own SMTP server I’m not a Mailroom user yet but this question is central to my decision to adopt Mailroom or not. On the surface Mailroom appears to be exactly what I need as I’m sending over a thousand emails a month now and, frankly, it’s driving us nuts. However, if outgoing email won’t be from my own domain, it could be a deal-breaker. Is there a way that can be done? Jimmie |

Topic: Request: Use my own SMTP server Hi there, It would be great if we could set up mailroom to send messages using our own mail server (by specifying server name, port, username, password, and authentication method). Why? Three reasons:
Item #2 is the biggest one… right now we can use MailRoom to work very nicely with GMail, but our outgoing mail isn’t saved on the GMail side in the conversation. Thanks! —Mike |
