Topic: 404 errors OK that was weird. I have been trying to reproduce the problem for 2 weeks now and I finally saw it when send the email to you. I’m going to try to figure out what is going on with the email sending. |

Topic: Email Metrics Any idea how long it will be till we can get our hands on Mailroom 3? Are we talking weeks or months? The ability to track day to day, week to week, month to month, etc. metrics is really important to me so I can make decisions like when/if I need to hire a new helper monkey… er… intern. |

Topic: Email Metrics Hi we are working on a fairly comprehensive stats package for Mailroom 3. Mailroom 3 is nearly a complete rewrite of the front end that will address many of the requests we have received from customers over the last year, which is why it is taking some time to finish up. |

Topic: Email Metrics Is there any plan to add features that would allow one to track email volumes? It would be great to be able to look at how many messages received/sent over a specified time frame and be able to break it down by tag or user as well. How are other people using Mailroom keeping track of volumes currently? |

Topic: 404 errors Hey Brian, Thanks for the post and I’m sorry for the really annoying error messages We are going to be upgrading some hardware and taking care of a lot of these things that have been building up next weekend (another big window). We’ll be posting more about it on the blog on Wednesday. The next time one of those messages popup would you mind posting what the message says? I want to make sure we take care of everything over the next week. Thanks again Brian |

Topic: IMAP Support Having the ability to use IMAP would solve a lot of problems I am likely to have. Also, Gmail and Google Apps now support IMAP quite well and it would be amazingly useful to have the ability to make use of it in Mailroom. I could have a specific label or folder on the IMAP server that contains items that Mailroom should handle. Mailroom could save outgoing responses in another IMAP folder for archival purposes (to make up for the lack of using our own SMTP). The IMAP support wouldn’t even need to be complicated. Any support for IMAP is probably better than none, so I wouldn’t worry about using IMAP folders to reflect tags or anything like that. |

Topic: IMAP Support Yeah, IMAP is something I’d love to do eventually but its honestly not a likely feature in the near future. Mailroom has a lot of features (assignment, tagging, internal notes) that don’t easily map to how IMAP organizes email. So far we haven’t come up with a way of achieving this blend that we’re satisfied with. That said, we know that logging into Mailroom to do your work is not always feasible/desirable. We’re thinking of some ways to make it more accessible to your current workflow…. Thanks for the feedback! |

Topic: Mobile access We’ve actually been thinking of building some ways to let you interact with Mailroom entirely through your regular email, including creating notes, using saved replies, etc. This would help people who don’t use Mailroom all the time, but need to occasionally participate (such as sales people or clueless managers like me. ;-) Our thinking is this could cover the need for mobile access as well. What do you think? Being the owner of a new iPhone, I’ve been feeling the need for something along these lines as well! |
